broker, owner

Originally from Greenville, NC, I was born and bred a Tarheel, and graduated with a dual degree from UNC-CH in Business Administration and Spanish in 2005. Since then, I’ve grown to love everything Durham has to offer.  My favorite course in school was without a doubt BUSI 126, a class focused on real property finance and transactions.  I soon realized that Durham would be the place to set roots, and that being a part of the revitalization of Durham was a perfect fit.

I started Longleaf Building & Restoration Inc. in 2011 after several years of experience in residential brokerage and residential redevelopment work of older homes.  I’ve continued to be involved in brokerage work since and started Longleaf Realty LLC.  Our goal is to be good stewards of what we have been given. We know the buying and selling process can be stressful, so we want to listen and provide an objective voice to help make the process smooth and enjoyable. It needs to be fused with experience, wisdom, and of course laughter.  We study market trends in both the craft of building homes and brokerage so you can be confident in your decision.

Above all, my true joys are my wife Catherine of 14 years, and our four boys, Jackson (11), Charlie (9), Stuart (7), and David (3).  We’ve learned together that houses become homes when they give us space in which to really live and build community.

I was raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina but now call Durham my home.  Having attended both the NC School of Science & Mathematics and UNC Chapel Hill, I fell in love with this area at a young age.

My husband and I bought our first home in Durham several years ago.  Going through that process taught me firsthand the anticipation, excitement, and eventual relief that you experience during a real estate transaction.  I would love to walk alongside you in this process, whether you are buying or selling.

What I find most fulfilling about being a realtor is that it allows me to use my two of my strengths to help others - providing attention to detail and emotional support.

In my spare time I love to cook, play with our dog, Brinkley, and - of course - do house projects!
